Photo-A-Day 3

9. I don't like my front door.  It needs to be painted.  And I can't find the picture I was going to post on my computer.  Too bad.

 10. Self Portrait and 11. Makes You Happy
I'm rolling these into one.  Baby girl is not a snuggler, at all, what-so-ever.  She has pretty much been like this since she was about a month old.  Yesterday she got a brace to stretch her hip out.  Needless to say naps were a little uncomfortable today.  I try to be an optimist in all things- and the good thing about this brace- is Kara was so cuddly today!  She took close to 3 hours worth of naps on my chest = one happy momma.

Please pray that Karalyn's hip will stretch out quick so she doesn't have to wear this brace for the estimated 3-6 months...

Photo-A-Day 2

7. Button.  I picked up these cupcakes today... they kind of look like buttons... Unfortunately they didn't taste nearly as good as they look.  And I missed my cute-as-a-button baby today... boo to work.
8. Sun, where did you go?  I saw your pretty face this morning, but didn't have enough time to take a picture.  This picture would have been a lot prettier if you were in it.

However, you did make the sky pretty in pink as you set for the day.
Another day at work, and not enough time with my brightest sunshine.
Thank goodness for hip (grand)parents with camera phones!

February: Photo-A-Day

Ok.... I'm trying this blog thing again.... and I thought this would be a great way for me to attempt to post every day, of course with a Karalyn twist!!!  Thanks to Rachel for sharing!

Here are days 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. and 6!

1.  Your view today: now you see it, now you don't.  What an interesting winter it has been... the mildest I can ever remember (and yes, I am kind of complaining!)

2.  Words can not describe how hilarious this picture is!  Kara had fallen asleep when we were out walking and she woke up as soon as I set her down; this is the silly look she gave me.

3. These hands are into anything and everything possible!  And it all ends up in the mouth...

4. We went to the Dr. on Friday and this girl is like a magnet for strangers.  Everyone had to stop and saw hi and how cute and happy she is.  I am not a stranger and totally agree!  (and she loves the paper on the table... to the mouth it goes)

 5.  10am is nap time and this is how little miss greeted me when she woke up.  Over the weekend she decided she wanted to be a tummy sleeper.  So sweet :)

 6.  Dinner, well breakfast to be exact, consisted of Kara's first taste of pears (thanks to Aunt Krissy for canning them!).  She had a few bitter/scrunchy faces, but really loved them!  This is one of the first times she cried when I told her they were all gone... so we had to get a few more.

SUPERBOWL.  An extra for the day- Karalyn played football while we watched the game yesterday.

(I apologize for the poor picture quality... I haven't quite figured out my new phone yet, plus my subject is a bit wiggly!)

Conversation worth posting...

Typically I am horrible at reliving or retelling conversations, unlike my dear friend Jenna, who is amazing!  Mine just never seem to be as good retold.

But I'm hoping this is a break through.
~~~
Last night Ryan and I were sitting on the couch enjoying a delicous dinner of frozen pizza...
Ryan: The sprayer makes my back hurt
Me: I hoed all afternoon.... and I'm 38 weeks pregnant
Ryan: (guilty look on his face) I guess I don't feel too bad...
Baby Update #2
Since I haven't given any baby updates in the past 15 weeks I figure that is a good way to get back into my pathetic blog, since that is pretty much the only excitement around here.....
So yes, my last blog was at 20 weeks.
20 plus 15 equals 35.
40 minus 35 equals 5.
5.
Five.
Five weeks to go is not very long, in case you didn't realize that.
Here is what has been happening in the world of baby baking...
Appetite: Pretty normal.  I have noticed some cravings (possibly, if that what you call eating the same thing for more than 5 meals in a week) for Cheeseburgers from the HoJack Shack and Ice Cream.  But they could just be warm weather cravings...
Maternity Clothes: Definitely for shirts!  Otherwise my bump would be totally exposed.  I can wear most of my pants/shorts/skirts still
Baby Bump: People keep asking 'how soon', so I feel like that is a sign I am looking huge...
Feeling: Pretty normal.  Getting a little harder to bend over, but I really can't complain too much.
Baby Movement: Hello soccer player...  It is so cool to be able to feel the baby and see it roll around in my belly.  Right now it looks lopsided :)
Sleeping: Again, I can't complain.  I usually get up once in the night to use the bathroom and occasionally my hip is sore in the morning.  I am taking advantage of sleep while I can!!
Baby Size: The books say baby should be around 5 pounds, gaining about 0.5 pounds a week from now til the end.
Concerns: I am going to be the sole provider for a BABY in 5 weeks!!!
This picture is from on of my baby showers, around 31 weeks.  Since I really am a slacker I have not taken any pictures since then....
At this rate the next post will probably be when baby arrives!  Eeeekkkk!!!! (that is both a nervous and excited shreek!)
Slacker.
I am clearly horrible at blogging...
However, when I do get the time, energy and creativity to do so, here are a list of topics I am dying to update you on:
-Our upstairs remodel project (which in finally in the final stages!)
-My new car!
-Our roadtrip back from Florida
-Baby bump :)
In the meantime, here is a picture to tie you over...
I recently saw the baby ducks and chick in TSC and they reminded me of these sweet little guys I got for my birthday in 2009!
20/20
This week marks the halfway point in my pregnancy!!  Hard to believe how fast it is going!
Here is a little update on what is happening in the world of baby baking...
Appetite:  Hungry pretty much all day; mostly for fruit, string cheese, and peanut butter crackers
Maternity Clothes: Not yet!
Baby Bump: Starting to pop... I will post pictures some day
Feeling:  Pretty normal.
Baby Movement:  Starting this past week I have felt the babe wiggle and squirm on a daily basis.
Sleeping:  Ok for the most part.  It is hard not sleeping on my back or stomach.
Baby Size: 11 ounces, about the size of a large banana
Concerns: What are we gonna call this kid?!
This is a picture from our ultrasound this past Friday.  Baby K wasn't in the greatest position so we have to go back for more pictures in two weeks to take a closer look at things.  We saw the wee thing yawn-- SO STINKIN' CUTE!!!
